The award-winning Gosfield Hall Wedding Venue is a striking and impressive Georgian Manor house found in the Constable Country, in the glorious Essex countryside.

A meandering driveway through pretty parkland leads you to the imposing front of...the house. Through the gateway, guests are welcomed into a tranquil inner courtyard, centred around a fountain filled with ornamental carp. Explore over 10 acres of elegant grounds, with reception rooms boasting panoramic views of the mile-long lake.

Make an entrance with the 120-foot-long aisle in Queen Charlotte's oak-panelled gallery or opt for an al fresco affair in the inner courtyard on warmer days. The Grand Salon offers a third option so there is something to suit every taste.

There is a real sense of ceremony as the Bride glides up the aisle. Don't forget to look back at the Groom, though, as his emotions will be clear! Queen Charlotte's oak-panelled gallery affords every Bride an amazing entrance, thanks to its 120-foot-long aisle. The dual-aspect windows flood the room with light, and the neutral array of silk house flowers really completes this space.
In the Grand Salon, the high hand-painted ceiling and double-height sash windows make this a bright and airy space in which to say: 'I do.' The feature fireplace is a beautiful backdrop to your nuptials, and the baby grand piano offers live musical accompaniment.

On warmer days, you might opt for an outside ceremony. The original carriageway is our licensed setting for this, and you can choose from the inner or outer courtyard setting. The Queen Charlotte's Gallery will provide you with a wet-weather back-up, just in case!

The former Marquis of Buckingham's Ballroom is an exquisite setting for fine dining. Seat up to 116 guests under crystal chandeliers and double-height mirrors.

Like the royalty who once feasted here, be spoilt with our chef's culinary expertise. From multi-course plated dinners to lavish buffets, create your own bespoke menu with your Personal Wedding Manager, who will guide you through our exciting options as well as every aspect of your day.

Should you want something special, we are thrilled to accommodate all tastes and dietary requirements, with particular attention to local and seasonal produce. Our specially-selected wines will complement your wedding breakfast, with our Dadnor English Sparkling Rosé exclusively available for your toasts.

Plentiful and luxurious accommodation boasting 23 suites, comprising 14 double rooms and nine family rooms, guests can rest peacefully at the end of a fun-filled day. New for 2019 is the addition of The Marquis offering a further 8 stylish guest bedrooms for the night of your wedding.

What better way to finish off your big day than with all your close friends and family in one place. Guest accommodation is vital and allows you all to regroup over breakfast the following morning and reminisce about the previous day’s highlights. All guest bedrooms are en suite, and all rooms provide tea and coffee-making facilities and bottled water, everything you might need for a restful night.
As Gosfield Hall is not a hotel, accommodation is reserved by the Bride and Groom, so guests should speak directly to the couple should they require a room. Our couples therefore have complete control over who stays and in which area. It also means that we can focus solely on weddings and provide dream days for all!
