Wedding Venues in ABERDEENSHIRE

Haddo House

Designed by William Adam in 1732 and home to the Gordon family for over 250 years, Haddo... House wedding venue is one of Scotland’s grandest Palladian-style country mansions.

Crisp Georgian architecture, sumptuous Victorian interiors and enchanting terraced gardens, all surrounded by 80 hectares of glorious Aberdeenshire countryside, make this an ideal wedding venue of all shapes and sizes.

Within easy reach of Aberdeen, Haddo House was built for entertaining, regularly playing host to royalty and dignitaries across the centuries.

The gardens and extensive grounds provide a stunning backdrop for photographs, marquees and outdoor activities.

Inside Haddo House, the Library and Drawing Room can host civil, religious and humanist wedding ceremonies, whilst the beautiful chapel in the grounds is available for religious ceremonies of all Christian denominations.

The elegant interconnecting public rooms are ideal for drinks receptions, allowing guests to relax, mingle and enjoy the surroundings before dinner is served in the Library, which has played host to royalty and dignitaries over the centuries.

From the house, a short stroll through the grounds leads to the Haddo Hall. Inspired by Lord & Lady Aberdeen’s first trip to Canada in 1890, it’s an ideal spot for ceilidhs, dancing and the evening’s festivities.
For larger weddings, a marquee can be erected on the Lower Lawn, adjacent to the Haddo Hall.
